Residents in Gosport have been plunged into darkness once again as a second power cut hits the area this week.
33 Homes Plunged into Darkness
Southern Electric confirmed that around 33 homes in Gosport lost power after a cable fault near Lombard Close. The fault struck close to the “Downside” substation in the Bridgemary district, leaving many without electricity this evening.
Engineers Scramble to Fix Fault
Engineers are on-site working at the substation trying to solve the problem. Southern Electric warned the fix could take up to 12 hours, but no exact restoration time is confirmed yet.
