Firefighters from three stations raced to tackle a blaze spreading from a shed to a home in Hilsea on Saturday evening. Crews from Cosham, Southsea, and Portchester were scrambled to Magdalene Road following reports of a shed fire.
The fire quickly escalated, spreading from the shed to a nearby property. With people reported to be inside the home, firefighters acted without delay to contain the flames.
Wearing breathing apparatus, the crews deployed two hose reels and a main jet to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading further. Their swift and coordinated efforts were crucial in managing the situation.
Paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service also attended the scene to provide medical support. Fortunately, all occupants of the property were accounted for and escaped unharmed.
