Emergency crews rushed to Lasham Airfield today following a high-speed glider crash landing just before lunchtime on Tuesday, May 15th.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue deployed teams from Basingstoke and Alton to the scene to address the incident. In addition, South Central Ambulance Service dispatched an officer, an ambulance, and their specialised Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) to the airfield near Alton.
The glider sustained severe damage in the crash. At this stage, details regarding any injuries remain unclear. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
