Four people were injured in a serious collision involving an emergency ambulance and a cement lorry on the coastbound A21 in Weald, Sevenoaks.
Two of those injured are believed to be paramedics working with the South East Coast Ambulance Service. Reports indicate that their injuries are serious.
The crash took place at around 9pm on Wednesday night, as temperatures dropped and freezing conditions set in.
Kent Roads Policing officers, firefighters from Kent Fire and Rescue Service, and paramedics responded quickly to the scene to manage the situation and provide assistance.
Collision scene investigators have been working for more than six hours, employing high-tech laser scanning equipment to reconstruct the events leading to the crash.
Dashcam footage from both the ambulance and the cement lorry has been recovered and is currently under review by police as part of the ongoing investigation.
The coastbound A21 remains closed while officers continue their detailed inquiries alongside recovery and cleanup operations.
Both Kent Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service have been contacted for further comment regarding the incident.
