If you’re working full-time but have a spare room and can offer around 10 hours a week helping young people aged 16-24 – whether with cooking, job applications or life skills – the new Lodgings Plus scheme could be your perfect match.

Portsmouth City Council wants carers of all ages, genders, ethnicities, sexualities, and relationship statuses – whether you rent or own your home.
“We are looking for foster carers who can provide stability and care for children and young people, especially teenagers, for short or longer term placements,” said Councillor Neill Young, Cabinet member for Children and Education. “I would urge anyone interested in fostering to come along to the event at the tower and find out more.”
