Five Arrested in Massive Human Trafficking Raids Across England

Dawn Raids Rock Massage Parlours from Wiltshire to Reading

Police swooped on massage parlours linked to a sprawling human trafficking ring. The South West Regional Organised Crime Unit (SWROCU) executed dawn warrants across Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, and Reading.

Five suspects are now in custody. They include a man in his 30s from Leicester, a middle-aged couple from Bristol, a woman in her 60s from Kent, and a man of similar age from Suffolk. They face grim charges including human trafficking, controlling prostitution for profit, and money laundering.

Seven vulnerable women have been rescued from dangerous conditions as the probe barrels on.

Local Tips Crack Massive Trafficking Network

DCI Adam Smith from SWROCU revealed: “This investigation started due to public concerns raised to Wiltshire Police about two premises in Chippenham.”

“It’s grown from there, resulting in five arrests for serious offences, and most importantly, the safeguarding of seven women.”

“Community intelligence is vital – officers had so much helpful input that we were able to act swiftly. Our plea: keep the info coming.”

Sgt Jamie Ball, leading the Chippenham operation, added: “What began as a local inquiry into two so-called health and wellbeing massage parlours uncovered illegal sexual services being offered.”

“Thanks to the community’s tips and our hard work, several vulnerable women are now safe. I’m sure locals will welcome today’s arrests and raids.”
