At least five children have been rushed to hospital after a serious crash involving a bus and a tractor on the A227 near Meopham, Kent. The collision occurred at approximately 3.25pm, close to the junction with Chapman’s Hill, just as the school day was ending.

Emergency services, including an air ambulance, paramedics, police, and firefighters, quickly arrived at the scene to provide assistance. Kent Police confirmed that several passengers on the bus, including children, sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment in hospital.

The crash took place near Culverstone Green on South Street. Authorities have appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dashcam or phone footage to come forward to help with the ongoing investigation.

A Kent Police spokesperson said, “We are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to contact us as we work to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident.”

The collision has caused significant traffic disruption in the area while emergency teams continue their work. Updates on the condition of the injured children and further details about the investigation will be provided as they become available.
