A tragic crash on the A281 Horsham Road near Alfold on Monday evening has claimed one life. The collision, involving a car and a bus, occurred at around 4.30pm.
While one driver died at the scene, two passengers sustained minor injuries. Emergency services responded promptly and closed the road in both directions to manage the incident.
The southbound carriageway was closed at the Dundsfold Road junction, and the northbound side was closed at the B2133 Loxwood Road junction. These closures caused significant delays, and motorists were advised to seek alternative routes while investigations continued.
