Great news for Eastbourne locals! Caroline Ansell MP has confirmed that the Meads Street Post Office will reopen at 1pm on December 7.

The revamped branch will be located inside the “Welcome Store,” taking over the spot once held by the Co-Op. The new location will offer the full range of Post Office services to the community.

Ansell praised the teamwork behind the Post Office’s comeback. She singled out Meads councillors Jane Lamb and Robert Smart, as well as the Meads Community Association for their vital roles in making the reopening possible.

The MP also gave a shout-out to Rev Giles Carpenter, who kindly hosted a temporary Post Office service at St John the Evangelical Church on St John’s Road until August.

This reopening is a win for the community, and residents can look forward to easier access to essential postal services once again.
