The A282 southbound at the Dartford River Crossing, also known as the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, has been closed due to a police-led incident. Both Essex Police and Kent Police are currently on the scene managing the situation.

Southbound traffic is being diverted through the larger East Tunnel, while northbound vehicles are restricted to the lower, smaller West Tunnel. This rerouting has led to significant restrictions and delays for drivers in both directions.

The incident has caused widespread congestion on the M25 near Dartford. Clockwise entry slip roads at junctions 30 and 31 remain closed, further contributing to the gridlock and frustration among motorists.
