Emergency services responded swiftly to a two-vehicle collision near Smallbrook, Ryde, this afternoon. Firefighters from Ryde and Newport, Hampshire Roads Policing officers, and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service arrived at the scene just after 3pm on Sunday.
The crash on Ashey Road led to a temporary closure of the road in both directions as police managed the incident. Paramedics attended to those involved, who are not believed to have suffered serious injuries.
Following prompt action by emergency crews, Ashey Road was reopened within minutes, allowing traffic to resume and easing travel for drivers in the area. Authorities continue to monitor the situation following the incident.
