Firefighters from three Berkshire stations rushed to a chemical leak and fire at Moog Components Group in Early, Berkshire, on Thursday evening, April 20, 2017.
The incident began when ferric chloride—a chemical used to clean printed circuit boards—leaked from a pump and ignited at the factory located on 1 Business Park.
Fire crews from Caversham and 1 Road stations quickly responded to the scene, supported by a specialist Hazardous Material unit to tackle the hazardous blaze.
Crews battled a small but dangerous fire caused by the chemical leak and remained at the site until just after 8pm.
South Central Ambulance confirmed via Twitter that no casualties were reported in the incident.
