Kent Fire and Rescue Service rushed to a fire at a flat located on High Street, Broadstairs, Thanet. Three fire engines were deployed to tackle the intense blaze.
Firefighters wore full breathing apparatus as they fought the flames using main jets and hose reels to control and extinguish the fire.
To clear the thick smoke from the first-floor property, crews used a high-pressure fan, improving visibility and safety during the operation.
One resident was given oxygen by firefighters after suffering suspected smoke inhalation. The individual was then handed over to SECAmb medics for further treatment and was taken to hospital.
The cause of the fire remains unknown and is currently under investigation by the relevant authorities.
