Two of Brighton’s largest city centre car parks will be closed this Easter Sunday, raising concerns about significant traffic congestion across the seafront and surrounding areas.
In a late Saturday announcement, Churchill Square revealed: “Due to emergency maintenance works, both car parks (Red Car Park and Green Car Park) will be closed from Saturday 4th April 10pm and throughout Easter Sunday.”
This unexpected closure comes during one of the busiest weekends of the year, as thousands of visitors head to Brighton’s coast for the holiday period. With very limited alternative parking options nearby, the situation could lead to severe traffic problems as drivers search for parking spaces.
