Police have discovered the body of Oliver Marsh in the New Forest, Hampshire, bringing a tragic end to the search for the missing Bournemouth man.

Officers were called to Bolderwood at 11:38am on Saturday, 10 December after a man’s body was found in the woods near Lyndhurst. The body has been confirmed as 38-year-old Oliver Marsh, who vanished from his Bournemouth home on 17 November 2016.

Oliver’s Volkswagen Touareg was found abandoned in a Lyndhurst car park on Thursday, 8 December. The discovery of his car had raised hopes but ended in heartbreak with today’s grim find.

Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious. The Hampshire Coroner has been informed. Oliver’s family has been notified, and our thoughts are with them during this incredibly difficult time.
