A body has been found in Calne, bringing to a close the search for 33-year-old Ricky, who was last seen over the weekend.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that a body was discovered on Monday morning near Quemerford Road.
Ricky was reported missing on Saturday afternoon, which prompted a large-scale search operation. Wiltshire Police collaborated with Wiltshire Search and Rescue teams to thoroughly search the area.
Just after 10am on Monday 17 March, officers located a body believed to be that of Ricky. Formal identification has not yet been completed, but Ricky’s family have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
A police spokesperson said, “Our thoughts remain with Ricky’s loved ones as they come to terms with this devastating news. We are providing them with all the support they need.”
At this early stage, police have stated there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. A file will be prepared for the coroner as post-mortem examinations begin.
Further updates will be provided once formal identification and official procedures are complete.
