Kent Police have officially ended their search for a missing 66-year-old man who was last seen in Swanley on Sunday, May 12, 2024. The search was called off following the discovery of a man’s body in Northfleet on Tuesday, May 14.

The man’s family has been informed about the discovery, although formal identification is still pending. Police have confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

Kent Police expressed their gratitude to all members of the community who assisted in the search and provided important information. While the exact circumstances surrounding the man’s disappearance and death remain under investigation, officers are now focusing on supporting the family during this difficult time.
