Body Found in Sea Sparks Shock in Cornwall

Tragedy struck Cornwall as rescuers found a man’s body washed up in the sea at Bude. The grim discovery on the evening of 31 January has left the local community reeling.

Search Ends in Devastation

Devon & Cornwall Police, joined by HM Coastguard, responded to the scene around 6.30pm. The man was sadly pronounced dead there and then.

While formal identification is yet to be confirmed, officers believe the body is that of 37-year-old Alexander Key, reported missing from Boscastle a week earlier on 24 January.

No Foul Play Suspected

Authorities have ruled out suspicious circumstances surrounding Alexander’s death. A file is now being prepared for the coroner as the investigation continues.

Family Pays Tearful Tribute

“We would like to thank the police, HM Coastguard, and everyone who helped in the search,” the family said. “Please respect our privacy during this difficult time.”
