A blaze broke out on the first floor of a building on Ingles Lane in Folkestone, prompting a rapid response from emergency services. Four fire engines were dispatched to the scene to combat the spreading flames.
Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used both hose reel and main jets to control the fire. Despite their efforts, the fire spread to a nearby outbuilding, requiring crews to intensify their firefighting operations.
Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the incident and treated one person at the scene. The individual was taken for precautionary checks but did not sustain serious injuries.
The cause of the fire remains unknown and is currently under investigation by the relevant authorities.
