The A27 near Devil’s Dyke in East Sussex has been closed in both directions following a collision between a car and a pedestrian, Sussex Police confirmed.
The closure near the Dyke Road roundabouts in Hove began this morning and remains in place as emergency services work to understand the full circumstances of the incident.

Sussex Police confirmed the A27 closure and warned that it is likely to remain shut for some time. Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes to prevent further congestion.

National Highways reported delays of up to 40 minutes and approximately three miles of tailbacks. The planned diversion takes drivers up and over exit and entry slips at the A2038 Devil’s Dyke junction.
