Chaos has erupted on the roads near the Port of Dover as emergency crews respond to a serious collision on the A2 in Kent. Kent Police and other emergency teams are currently working at the scene to manage the situation and ensure safety.
National Highways have also deployed additional resources to help maintain traffic flow amid the disruption. The A2 has been shut in both directions near the Port of Dover, leading to significant delays and congestion.
Major diversions have been put in place, forcing commuters onto local routes as traffic is diverted away from the affected area. Drivers are advised to plan their journeys carefully to avoid the impacted section of the A2.
Motorists travelling to the Port of Dover from further afield are recommended to use the M20 and A20 routes for a smoother journey and to avoid the current traffic chaos.
