Kent Fire and Rescue Service rushed to a major collision on the A2 coastbound at Bean in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Two fire engines arrived promptly at the crash scene. Crews wasted no time deploying hydraulic cutting tools, including the jaws of life, to free a driver trapped inside one of the wrecked vehicles.
Once freed, the injured motorist was swiftly handed over to the Kent Air Ambulance team for urgent medical treatment. Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service were also on site, helping to control traffic and manage the emergency response.
