Emergency services closed the A2 coastbound early Saturday following a deadly head-on crash near the Black Prince interchange in Bexley. The Met Police were called just after 6.30am to a two-vehicle collision that forced a full closure of the road.
Traffic is being turned around at the on-slip of the Black Prince interchange, causing long queues as drivers seek alternative routes. One ambulance and police remain at the scene, working to manage the aftermath of this serious collision.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and consider other routes as congestion continues to build in the area.
A National Highways spokesperson confirmed: “Due to a separate incident, traffic is currently stopped on the A2 eastbound between the A223 and A2018 near Bexley. This is adding to the full closure already in place near Dartford following the earlier crash.”
