Serious Crash Closes A27 in East Sussex
A major smash has shut the A27 completely between the A26 at Beddingham and the A2270 at Polegate. Emergency crews raced to the scene just before 11pm last night after two vehicles collided.
Firefighters Tackle Car Blaze
Sussex Police are leading a multi-agency response. East Sussex Fire & Rescue dispatched two fire engines and crews who quickly doused a small car fire and secured the area. The South East Coast Ambulance Service is also at the scene.
Traffic Chaos as Diversions Kick In
National Highways teams are on hand managing road closures and directing traffic around the crash site. Drivers are urged to avoid the area and find alternative routes until the highway reopens.
