Kent Police were called at 5.45am on Thursday 18 July 2024 after a woman in her 20s reported being raped in the Marlborough Road area of Maidstone.
Officers launched an immediate investigation and arrested a 25-year-old man linked to the attack. He remains in police custody as inquiries continue.
Police are urging anyone who was in the Marlborough Road area between midnight and 6am on 18 July to come forward. Drivers with dashcam footage or residents with private CCTV and doorbell cameras who have not yet been contacted are asked to get in touch.
