The incident occurred just after midnight on Saturday, 14 May 2022, when a man and woman in their 20s were involved in a heated verbal exchange with an unknown woman on Whitstable High Street.
After the argument, the couple continued walking down the road but were ambushed moments later by attackers who emerged from a black Land Rover Freelander.
Four men jumped out of the vehicle and viciously assaulted the couple. The woman managed to escape with minor injuries, while the man sustained serious facial wounds and was rushed to hospital for treatment.
Kent Police are currently investigating the attack and are reviewing all available CCTV footage from the area. Officers are urging anyone who was in the vicinity of Whitstable High Street at the time, especially those who witnessed any suspicious activity, to come forward.
