Met Police swoop after car hits two pedestrians in Beckenham

The Met Police launched a rapid response yesterday morning after a car collided with two pedestrians on The Drive in Beckenham, England.
Pedestrians Injured but Now Safe
Emergency crews arrived just before 10am on September 27. The London Ambulance Service rushed the injured pedestrians to hospital. Luckily, both have been discharged with no serious injuries.
Driver Arrested and Vehicle Seized
Officers detained the driver at the scene. He now faces multiple charges, including driving without insurance. The vehicle was promptly seized as police cracked down hard on the offence.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to The Drive in Beckenham at 09:49hrs on Saturday, 27 September, following reports of a collision involving a car and two pedestrians. The pedestrians were taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service and have since been released. The driver of the vehicle was processed for a number of driving offences, including driving without insurance, and the vehicle has been seized by police.”
