Two men were shot dead in a gun attack in Lambeth early on Sunday morning, 30 October. Police were called to Railton Road, SE24, just before 8am following reports of gunfire.
Firearms officers arrived at the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance. Despite frantic life-saving efforts, the two men were pronounced dead at the scene. The exact cause of their injuries has not yet been confirmed.
Next of kin have not yet been informed, and formal identification and post-mortem examinations are pending.
Several roads remain closed as police continue to secure the area and investigate the crime scene. A heightened police presence is visible in the local area as enquiries continue at pace.
