Two Hampshire Police Officers were seriously injured in a shocking crash drama on the M27 in Hampshire this morning. The officers were attending a multi-vehicle collision on the westbound carriageway when tragedy struck.

While crossing the eastbound side of the motorway to investigate a second collision caused by rubbernecking, the officers were hit by a moving vehicle. The incident has left both officers with serious injuries.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight air ambulances were quickly dispatched to the scene. The helicopter medical team provided urgent treatment to both officers before rushing them to hospital for further care.

Police have launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. The M27 remains closed in the affected area as authorities work to manage the scene and ensure safety.

Motorists are strongly urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes until the road reopens. Hampshire Police have been approached for comment, and more updates will follow as the situation develops.
