Azra Kemal, aged 24, has been identified as the woman who died in a tragic incident on the A21 near Tonbridge in the early hours of Thursday, 16 July 2020.
Just after 2am, Azra escaped from a car that had caught fire but tragically fell from a nearby bridge. Despite two hours of intensive medical efforts by air ambulance medics and paramedics, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident caused the A21 to be closed for nearly 12 hours, resulting in major disruption to traffic in the area.
A 31-year-old man from London was arrested at the scene but has since been released without charge.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Detectives investigating the death of a woman who fell from a bridge on the A21 are satisfied there are no suspicious circumstances. They are preparing a report for the coroner.”
The police were called at 2.34am on 16 July 2020 after Azra fell near the Tonbridge exit. She was declared dead by the South East Coast Ambulance Service at the scene.
