Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded swiftly after reports that three men were stuck in thick mud on the River Medway at Lower Halstow, close to Sittingbourne.
Five fire engines, including the specialist Water Safety Unit, were dispatched to the scene near Lapwing Drive. Fire crews collaborated with H.M. Coastguard, employing mud rescue equipment to safely bring the men back to solid ground.
Once rescued, the three men were handed over to SECAmb paramedics for medical assessment. Kent Police officers were also present at the site, overseeing the recovery operation to ensure safety and coordination.
