Police have intensified the search for 79-year-old William Lee following a significant development in the case. Authorities are appealing to the public for any information regarding William’s whereabouts over the past two days.
The search operation has expanded to include the areas around Kingsbury and Middleton Lakes, focusing on the shores and surrounding locations. This follows a key discovery when a member of the public spotted William’s dog, Daisy, in the vicinity on 18 April. Fortunately, Daisy is in good health and is now with family members.
Detective Chief Inspector Ash Farrington of Staffordshire Police stated: “We are still putting all our efforts into finding William safe and well and so we are utilising specialist search dogs to help us target that search. We continue to support the family during this stressful time and I ask for anyone that may know anything about William’s movements in the past 48 hours to come forward and potentially help our efforts.”
William Lee is described as a 79-year-old man, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a slim build and white hair. He was last seen wearing a light-coloured jacket, beige jumper, and trousers when he left his home in Wilnecote at 3:30 pm on Friday 16 April.
