Portsmouth Mum’s Plea: Return Son’s Stolen Mountain Bike!
A Portsmouth mum has made a heartfelt plea for conscience after her 13-year-old son was brutally robbed of his mountain bike. The schoolboy was attacked near the Good Companion Pub at around 4pm on Thursday while walking home.
Shocking Street Attack in Broad Daylight
The terrified teen realised two youths, aged 14 to 16, had been following him from Goldsmiths Avenue. Suddenly, they put him in a headlock and dragged him off his bike.
- The attackers punched him twice in the face, leaving him with two black eyes.
- They then sped off with the stolen bike, leaving the boy shaken and hurt.
Descriptions and Police Appeal
The pair were described as stocky youths – one white and one black. The mum, speaking from her Portsmouth home, begged the thieves to return her son’s beloved bike, calling it “his pride and joy.”
The incident has been reported to Hampshire Police. Anyone who saw the attack or knows about the whereabouts of the stolen bike is urged to call 101 immediately.
