Police in Sandwich are urgently seeking witnesses following a brutal assault on an elderly man. The victim, a man in his 70s, was hospitalised after being attacked overnight.
The incident took place on Strand Street between 10.30pm on Wednesday, June 15 and the early hours of Thursday, June 16. Kent Police were called just before 9.30am on June 16 when the injured man was admitted to hospital.
According to officers, three suspects punched and kicked the victim, causing serious injuries. The full circumstances surrounding the attack remain under investigation.
Kent Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the assault or has private CCTV footage to come forward. Witnesses are asked to call 01843 222289 and quote reference 46/116007/22.
