Nearly 100 Kent Police officers have sealed off a studio in Maidstone tonight, Friday 6th December 2019, in a dramatic lockdown. Ten police vans, armed officers, and road policing units swarmed the area in a huge security blitz.
Three yellow Minis arrived at the studio’s rear, carrying a passenger dressed as Boris Johnson in a cheeky Brexit protest stunt. One driver joked it was “a bit like the Italian Job.” The protesters attempted to block the entrance, but officers quickly moved them on, showing zero tolerance for disruption.
A police drone buzzed overhead as part of the heavy security presence. Rumours on social media suggested attempts to stop Boris Johnson from entering the studio, prompting the rapid deployment of officers.
Local residents found their roads blocked, barred from access, and were told to park elsewhere. Vehicles were turned away amid strict controls to maintain order during the protest.
One passerby caught in the chaos said, “I didn’t think Kent Police had that many officers. What a waste of public money.” Meanwhile, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn stopped to chat with supporters after an afternoon meeting at the Maidstone Hilton.
