A 19-year-old man from Ramsgate is currently in police custody after a frightening acid spray attack in Margate early on Saturday, November 9.
Just after 1 a.m., chaos broke out on Mansion Street, Margate, when a man sprayed a liquid believed to be a powerful alkali at people nearby. The attack resulted in two victims sustaining facial injuries, while two others experienced skin irritation and redness on their face and chest.
Police quickly responded to the scene and seized a bottle suspected of containing the corrosive substance used in the assault.
The suspect was arrested on Monday, November 11, and remains in custody as detectives continue their investigation. Officers have thanked those who have already provided information but are urging anyone else with details to contact Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/190172/24.
