Kent Police are urgently seeking two men in connection with a fatal pedestrian crash in Gillingham. The force has released CCTV images of the individuals as part of their ongoing investigation.
The tragic incident occurred shortly after midday on Monday, 29 December 2025, when a man on foot was struck by a car on the A289 Gads Hill. Despite the rapid response of emergency services, the pedestrian later died from his injuries.
Police have closed Pier Road between The Strand and Gads Hill to carry out their inquiries, causing additional disruption in the area.
Detective Inspector Zoe Wilczek commented, “The images aren’t crystal clear, but we’re in the early stages of the investigation. We thank everyone who has already come forward and urge anyone with information or who recognises these men to get in touch.”
Authorities are appealing for witnesses to assist with the investigation. If you have dashcam or CCTV footage showing a grey Mercedes estate near the crash site, please upload it to Kent Police.
