Chaos erupted at The Gym in Trinity Square, Nottingham, around 6.30pm on Monday 27 February 2023, when a large fight broke out involving several people.
Police were called to the scene following reports of an altercation. A man in his 30s was rushed to Queen’s Medical Centre with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. Two other men later arrived at the hospital with minor injuries.
Five men, aged between 21 and 46, were arrested overnight on suspicion of affray.
Detective Sergeant Al Prentice said: “This was a large-scale disturbance in a busy gym that would have attracted a lot of attention. Our investigation is ongoing and we want to hear from anyone who saw what happened or has footage that can help.”
He added that police are working closely with gym staff and reviewing CCTV footage. “This kind of violence is completely unacceptable, and we are determined to bring all those involved to justice.”
