Man Seriously Hurt in High-Speed A47 Crash After Police Chase
A man suffered serious injuries after a dramatic police pursuit ended in a crash on the A47 this afternoon.
Police Chase Ends in Collision at Little Fransham
At 4.24pm on Monday 23 May, Norfolk Police tried to stop a vehicle that failed to pull over on the A47 between Dereham and Swaffham. The driver, a man in his 40s from Cambridgeshire, lost control and left the road at Little Fransham.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene, Road Shut
Emergency crews quickly arrived and took the injured driver to hospital. The A47 was shut between Wendling and Necton while they dealt with the crash.
Police Incident Referred for Independent Review
Norfolk Constabulary has handed the case to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, following standard procedure after police-involved collisions.
