Police responded to a flat fire on Thames Road at 12:10am on Friday, 6 November. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
A 32-year-old man from Newcastle has been taken into custody as police continue their investigations into the blaze.
Authorities are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. People are encouraged to contact Staffordshire Police via Facebook or Twitter, quoting incident number 5 of 6 November. Alternatively, information can be provided by calling 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
