Just after midnight on Saturday 14 May 2022, a man and woman in their 20s were verbally confronted by an unknown woman on Whitstable High Street. After a brief exchange, the couple continued walking but were ambushed moments later.
A black Land Rover Freelander screeched to a halt nearby, and four men jumped out to viciously attack the couple. Both victims were rushed to hospital by South East Coast Ambulance Service but have since been discharged.
Kent Police arrested three men and one woman, aged between 24 and 32, on Monday 16 May. All four were taken into custody for questioning as the investigation continues.
Police are urging witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward to assist with the case.
