On Tuesday night, around 7.30pm, a man was violently attacked on Gamble Street in Nottingham by four masked individuals. The group targeted the victim in an attempt to steal his moped.
The attackers repeatedly punched the man in the head before one of them brandished a knife during the assault. In the ensuing struggle, the gang managed to take the victim’s moped and house keys.
Just as the situation seemed dire, a passing car startled the attackers, who then fled the scene on mopeds or motorbikes heading towards Alfreton Road.
Detective Sergeant Andy Buxton commented on the incident: “The victim was left shaken and confused – it must have been terrifying for him. We won’t stand for attacks like this on hard-working locals.”
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the robbery or has dash-cam footage to come forward. “This is a busy area – someone may have key information that could help us track down these offenders,” added Buxton.
