Police in Margate have launched an urgent appeal following a shocking sexual assault on a teenage girl near a park in the town. The incident took place around 7.30pm on Saturday, May 25, 2019, close to Ethelbert Crescent Park.
The victim, a girl in her mid-teens, was walking through the park when a man forced her into his car parked nearby on Ethelbert Crescent. He then touched her inappropriately before she managed to escape.
The suspect is described as a white male, aged between 40 and 50 years old, with short grey hair that is slightly balding. He is tall, of medium build, and clean shaven.
Kent Police have reviewed CCTV footage and carried out multiple inquiries but continue to seek more information to identify and apprehend the offender.
Officers are urging anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity around Ethelbert Crescent on the evening of May 25 to come forward.
