Kent Police have launched an urgent investigation after a serious sexual assault was reported in Ethelbert Crescent, Cliftonville. The incident is believed to have occurred between 10pm on Monday 27 May and 12:50am on Tuesday 28 May.
A 26-year-old man from Margate was arrested on Tuesday 28 May in connection with the assault. He remains in police custody as enquiries continue.
Authorities are appealing to anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area on the night of 27 May to come forward. Police are also seeking dashcam or private CCTV footage from Ethelbert Crescent during the relevant time, as it could be crucial to the investigation.
