A man suffered facial injuries in a vicious early hours attack on 16 April 2022. The assault took place around 1.40am on Shelton Street, St Ann’s.

The victim remains in hospital, but thankfully his injuries are not life threatening or permanent.

Police responded quickly to the incident, arriving at the scene within minutes and launching an immediate investigation.

Two women, aged 32 and 30, along with a 53-year-old man, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH). All three suspects remain in police custody as enquiries continue.

Detective Sergeant Jon Kerry said: “Our enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to come forward. Violence like this is totally unacceptable. We’ll do everything in our power to keep our streets safe and bring offenders to justice.”
