A man was found dead in Chobham Gardens, Southfields, South West London, just half a mile from the site of the Wimbledon tennis championships. The discovery has shocked the local community and coincides with one of tennis’s biggest events.

The Metropolitan Police have described the death as “unexplained” and “unexpected.” A forensic scene has been established as officers carry out their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.

Reports indicate that a rubbish collector employed by Wandsworth Council was the first person to find the body. This initial discovery has led to a police inquiry aimed at determining the cause of death and uncovering any related information.

Given the close proximity to the Wimbledon tennis grounds, the investigation has garnered significant attention. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist with their inquiries as the probe continues.
