Man Arrested Over Toddler Stab Incident
A 26-year-old man was arrested this morning, Thursday 14 June, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He remains in custody at Holborn Police Station as the investigation continues.
Victim Stabbed During Attempted Robbery
Police rushed to Caedmon Road, N7 at 4.56pm on Friday 7 June after reports of a stabbing. A woman in her 30s was found with a stab wound to her leg while pushing a toddler in a pushchair.
Suspect Used Knife After Asking for Phone
The attacker, described as a black male aged 14-16, approached the woman asking for directions. After she helped him, he demanded her mobile phone. When she refused, he stabbed her in the back of the leg and ran off towards Tollington and Holloway Road.
Victim Treated and Released
The woman was taken to a central London hospital. Thankfully, her injuries are not life-threatening and remain stable. She has since been discharged. Officers from Central North Command Unit continue to hunt the suspect.
