At around 6.30pm, police were called to Carr Lane East in West Derby after reports of a stabbing. A 24-year-old man was found with serious injuries to his chest and leg. He was immediately taken to hospital where his condition remains critical.
Following the incident, three people have been arrested in connection with the attack. A 44-year-old man from Liverpool was detained on suspicion of attempted murder. Additionally, two women from Liverpool, aged 46 and 49, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and section 18 wounding with intent. All three suspects remain in police custody as investigations continue.
Detective Inspector Neil Dillon commented on the case, stating: “We’re at the early stages of investigating a violent altercation at an address on Carr Lane East which left a man stabbed. Three suspects are in custody, but the investigation is ongoing.”
Police officers are currently carrying out forensic examinations, reviewing CCTV footage, and speaking to witnesses and local residents to gather more information. Authorities are urging anyone with information, including dash cam footage, to come forward to assist with the investigation.
