Michael Toohey, of Oil Street, Liverpool, has died following a savage assault at an internet cafe on London Road. The attack occurred around 5.50pm on Saturday 16 April.
A post-mortem examination confirmed that Michael died from multiple injuries sustained during the attack.
Police have now arrested seven suspects in connection with Michael’s murder. Early this morning, a 20-year-old man from Kirkby and two youths aged 14 and 15 from Liverpool were detained on suspicion of murder. They remain in custody and are being questioned.
Earlier this month, Anthony Williams, 31, of Hillbrook Drive, Walton, was charged with murder. Another 33-year-old man with no fixed address was arrested but later released on conditional bail.
On Friday, a 14-year-old from Liverpool and a 25-year-old man from Kirkby were also arrested and subsequently bailed. Additionally, a 34-year-old woman from Fazakerley remains on bail after being arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has any footage to come forward. Witnesses can contact Merseyside Police anonymously via 123.
