A shocking stabbing incident occurred in Lewisham on New Year’s Eve when a 23-year-old man was fatally attacked on Grove Street near Evelyn Street at approximately 12:35pm on December 31.
Emergency services, including the London Ambulance Service and the Air Ambulance, responded quickly to the scene. Despite their efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the location.
The Metropolitan Police promptly cordoned off the area and initiated a full murder investigation. Detectives are currently examining the scene for evidence in an urgent effort to identify and apprehend the attacker.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated: “No arrests have been made at this early stage and enquiries remain ongoing. A crime scene remains in place.”
The suspect remains at large, and police are appealing to anyone with information about the incident to come forward immediately to assist with the investigation.
